How to get to the Barbican Exhibition Centre
London underground

The nearest Underground station is Barbican, on the Circle, Metropolitan and Hammersmith & City lines. To reach the Barbican, Exhibition Halls exit the station and cross Aldersgate Street in front of you. Walk through the road tunnel (Beech Street), take second left in the tunnel into Golden Lane where you will find the main entrance.

Other Underground stations nearby are Moorgate, St Paul's, Bank, Liverpool Street and Mansion House.

Train

The following British Rail stations are within walking distance of Barbican Exhibition Hall 2:

  • Blackfriars (20 minutes walk)
  • Cannon Street (20 minutes walk - please note that Cannon Street is not open at weekends or on Bank Holidays)
  • Liverpool Street (15 minutes walk)
  • Moorgate (10 minutes walk).

 

Thameslink services operate from the following stations:

  • Blackfriars
  • City Thameslink
  • Farringdon
  • St Pancras International
  • Moorgate

Bus

The following bus routes pass close to the Exhibition Hall: 4, 21, 43, 55,  56, 100, 141, 153, 214, 243a*, 245, 271 279a*. *Please note that routes 243a and 279a operate only on Sundays.

Routes 502 and 503 run from the Barbican Centre to South Kensington via Oxford Circus every 12 minutes from 0930 - 1630, Monday to Fridays.

Loading bay

Entrance via Viscount Street.

Getting to the loading bay for Hall 2

From Aldersgate Street, turn into Beech Street.  For the loading bay behind Hall 2, take the first left turn into Bridgewater Street, pass the rear of Exhibition Hall 2 on your right, then take the first right hand turn (Brackley Street), and then right again (Viscount Street) into the loading bay.

Car Parking

A limited number of car parking spaces are available at additional cost in the Barbican Centre car parks, managed by Legion Parking Services. Spaces may be block booked by event organisers or individually by exhibitors in an arrangement with the Commercial Development Office. This should be done no later than 14 days before the start of the event.

Exhibitor pre-paid parking charges

Exhibitor special rate is £12.00 per day when booked no later than 14 days before the start of the event - contact the Commercial Development Office above for further details.

General parking tariffs

Up to 2 hours - £7.00

Up to 3 hours - £9.50

Up to 4 hours - £12.50

Up to 5 hours - £15.00

Up to 6 hours - £17.50

Up to 9 hours - £23.00

Up to 12 hours - £28.00

Up to 24 hours - £32.00

Evening from 5pm - £8.00

The weekend and bank holiday rate is £8.00 per day.

Disabled parking is free to blue badge holders.

Please note there is a height restriction in the Barbican Centre car parks of 6’1” (1.85m).

Coach parking

If you are travelling to the Centre on a coach or minibus, the following information will be essential.

Please ensure that the following information is relayed to the relevant members of your party and your coach driver:

  • Exhibition Hall 2 is situated in a residential area
  • Vehicle engines must be turned off at all times when your vehicle is stationary
  • Under the Road Traffic (Vehicle Emissions) (Fixed Penalty) (England) Regulations  2002 the City of London has powers to request drivers to turn off their engines  when stationary, or receive a Fixed Penalty Notice, which will result in a fine. It is  an offence in the City of London for coaches parked in designated bays to leave  their engines running under the City of London Coach Parking Places Order  1990.
